Westlake Village City Celebration Celebrates 10 Years on
Saturday, October 20 (3:00 PM to 9:00 PM)

Each year, the City of Westlake Village partners with several community organizations to host the Westlake Village City Celebration. Over the past 10 years, the City Celebration has become a spectacular community gathering that takes place entirely at the Westlake Village Civic Center. The 2012 City Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 20, beginning at 3:00 pm. The early afternoon and evening times allow for a full slate of activities including a twilight 5K run/walk and a gourmet BBQ dinner. A full breakdown of the day’s exciting activities is listed below.

Westlake Village Community Foundation Gourmet BBQ Dinner
Relax in the Civic Center back terrace and enjoy a gourmet BBQ dinner sponsored by Stonefire Grill www.stonefiregrill.com and a glass of wine or beer sponsored by Wade’s Wines. The dinner will feature mesquite grilled tri-tip, garlic mashed potatoes, cowboy beans, caesar salad, and Stonefire’s famous breadsticks. Beer and wine will be available for purchase for $5 a glass. All proceeds raised will benefit the Westlake Village Community Foundation. The dinner begins at 4:30 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. Beer and wine will be available from 3:00 pm till 8:30 pm. Dinners can be purchased for $10 per person on the day of the event. A child’s plate will be available featuring macaroni and cheese, breadstick, and apples for $5 on the day of the event.

White Oak PFC Fun Fair
Join your friends and neighbors in supporting White Oak Elementary School at the White Oak PFC Fun Fair. The Fun Fair will feature a small boutique, 10 exciting rides, and a cake walk. If you are thirsty or have a sweet tooth make sure to visit either of the Bake Sale tents. Pre-sale discounted ride bracelets may be purchased at White Oak School between October 17th – 19th during regular school office hours. The Fun Fair opens at 3:00 pm and runs until 9:00 pm.

Triunfo YMCA Goblin Gallop
5K and 1 mile twilight run and walk
This year, the twilight run has become the Goblin Gallop and will continue to offer local runners an alternative to early morning races and a choice between a 5K and a 1-mile course. The race is presented by the Triunfo YMCA and sponsored by the City of Westlake Village. Haunted House
The Triunfo YMCA Haunted House returns to help get you in the Halloween spirit. The “spooktacular” Haunted House is designed and hosted by the YMCA Teen Program, Youth and Government. The Haunted House will be located in the Westlake Village Community Room. Haunted House tickets are $2. After dark, the Haunted House will get spookier, only the brave dare enter!

Live Entertainment Throughout The Day
The Local Community Performance Showcase will feature local acts that will include dancers, musicians, and athletes performing on the main stage in the Westlake Civic Center courtyard from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. The showcase will conclude with a free Halloween-themed magic show featuring “Doug Hoover” sponsored by the Friends of the Westlake Village Library.

Civic Center Tours
To celebrate the Civic Center’s 10th Anniversary, tours will be available for interested residents that want to take a glimpse behind the scenes of City Hall. Tours will occur at the top of the hour between 3:00 to 6:00 pm and will be led by a member of the Westlake Village City Council. Historical displays will also be available to view in Council Chambers.
